Gryphondale Education Services, LLC, is a company located in Maine with offices in California, Ontario, and Norway. The mission of this new company is to provide educational services to schools, colleges, and universities in an effort to improve the quality of digital learning.
The company currently offers three different products or services.
Portfolios – Currently Gryphondale offers two defined products in the area of on-line, web centric e-portfolios for students and/or teachers. Each product is a web-based portfolio creation tool, and each product is designed to meet student/school/district needs for grades 7-16. Each tool has customizable interface designs, and is based on a custom implementation of school/district/state standards. Each tool has teacher assessment and reflection built into the structure of the tool and uses badging technology to meet proficiency requirements.
EdVillage4Me - EdVillage reflects a truly unique few about learning based on the simple expression, "It takes a village to educate a child (or adult). EdVillage creates a community of learnrs by promoting interaction between learners. We now taht learning is reinforced by experience, and this web based learning community offers lots of opportunities for interaction between students, teachers, and the community. The end result is standards based e-Portfolio which can be made available to others. EdVillage creates opportunities for blended learning, social interaction, and evidence based assessment.
Portfolios4me – This product creates an e-portfolio for student and teacher use. This is a single tool application with a focus on student centered blogs, portfolios, and teacher-community assessment.
EdVillage4me – This product is a suite of tools which includes lesson planning, assessment, blogs, and portfolios. This product is used to create a learning community based on the community of the school.
International Study Tours – We work to host visitors from foreign countries who come to Maine to learn about one-to-one computing as it has been implemented over the last ten years. These International Study Tours include school visitations, workshops, and Maine tourist opportunities. International Study Tours last from four to six days.
Domestic Study Tours – We also work to host teachers, administrators and community leaders from around New England and the United States to help develop professional capacity as school districts continue the development of one-to-one computing environments. These professional development opportunities are customized to meet the needs of each visiting group.
